On Thursday 11th October we had went along to St. Kentigern’s Church to celebrate our Harvest Festival. All the children took a vast array of fruit, vegetables, biscuits, tins, jams and bread to church to celebrate the harvest.
Class 2 enjoyed a fabulous visit to the Hindu temple. We learned all about Hinduism, listened to some Hindu stories, played instruments, dressed up, had our hands painted and enjoyed a delicious Indian lunch of vegetable and paneer curry, rice, puri bread and ice-cream!
Class 1 have had a busy few weeks so far and have baked apple crumbles after collecting our own apples, made ladybirds, had fun dressing up, played with our friends, repaired the decking and role play house with an assortment of tools and looked after a large collection of dolls!
Many thanks to all the volunteers who looked after the school garden over the summer. Look what we picked at our first gardening club of the autumn term – courgettes, carrots and beetroot!
