On Thursday 5th May the whole school went on a trip to The Roman Army Museum and Vindolanda to tie in with our topic on The Romans. The weather was very kind to us and we had a fabulous, if somewhat exhausting day!
On Friday 13th May, Vicky prepared an array of delicious sandwiches to celebrate British Sandwich Week. As well as the sandwiches, there was a choice of pasta, potato and beetroot salad and pickles. In addition to the advertised Paris Sandwich for pudding, there was chocolate crunch cake, carrot cake and fruit or yogurt.

Continuing with our Roman learning context, the whole school walked along a section of Hadrian’s Wall. We travelled by bus to Birdoswald, walked along the wall and fort until we got to Gilsland, where we had a picnic and then enjoyed the lunch break on the playground with the children at Gilsland School. We then walked back to Birdoswald.
