These budding Masterchefs have been busy baking lots of delicious treats at after school cookery club including hallowe'en cupcakes, tuna melt parcels, drop scones and festive reindeer cupcakes. They have even washed and dried up...most of the time!
On Thursday 10th November, the whole school gathered in the hall to watch our WW1 film that we made last year. After the film we were shown a poppy that we were going to make with felt and buttons to then add to a class wreath to place at the foot of the memorial cross on the 11th November.
Class 2 have been learning how to write instructions. Here they are, enjoying some sandwiches which they made, following their own recipes!
The Halloween fancy dress and disco were a huge success. Thank you to everyone that took part and donated food. You helped us raise £143.00!
The ROTA Kids
On Wednesday 21st September, the Life Bus came to school for the day. We had a really interesting time learning all about ourselves, how we can stay healthy and how our bodies work. The whole school had a chance to go onto the Life Bus in different groups. Here are some photos from Nursery and Reception’s turn.
We held our third consecutive Coffee Afternoon to raise funds and awareness for the work of MacMillan On Thursday 22nd September.
Parents, children and staff baked and made cakes and other sweet treats for this worthwhile event!
Just some of the bumper crop of vegetables from the school garden picked by the Gardening Club on Monday. Thank you to all the parents who helped by watering the produce over the summer.
On Wednesday 14th September class 1 and 2 went to Dino park for the day, we took part in a range of different activities such as card making, playing on the bouncy castle, doing a range of different quizzes and having a good look around the park at all the different dinosaurs. We enjoyed our picnic lunch and ended the day with a play at the park and a dinosaur story.
In June KS2 pupils went on the annual residential to Wasdale, talking to everyone since getting back, I think the consensus is that it was the 'best residential ever'.
On Thursday 30th June all the children took part in a Mini Archery experience day at school.
